High quality rolling

 HOT-ROLLED STEEL ROUND ROLLING GOST 2590-2006

The standard applies to steel hot-rolled round with a diameter from 5 to 270 mm inclusive..

On the strength of the rolling it is divided into:

  • A – high accuracy;                               

  • B –  increased accuracy;

  • V – usual accuracy.

    Rolling of a diameter of 9 mm is made in rolls, over 9 mm – in rods.

The circles are made from both ordinary steel: ST3, ST2, ST5, etc., and low: ST09G2S, 15KhSND, etc., as well as structural ST10, ST20, ST35, ST45, ST40Kh, ST30KhRSA and stainless steels.

Round rolling is used for reinforcement of concrete; it is used as billets for the production of pipes, for the manufacture of parts in mechanical engineering and machine tool, for design of railway fasteners, for the production of grinding balls, as well as decorative elements in the walls and other home structures.

HOT-ROLLED STEEL SQUARE ROLLING GOST 2591-2006

The standard applies to hot-rolled steel square with side size from 6 to 200 mm inclusive.

On the precision of rolling it is divided into:

  • B –  increased accuracy;

  • V – usual accuracy.

Square steel size 5 mm and more is made in rods, less than 5 mm – in rolls.

Depending on purpose rods are made:

  • the measured length;

  • multiple of gauging length;

  • gauge length with the residue up to 15%;

  • multiple of gauging length with the residue up to 15%

The quality of steel used for the manufacture of steel of a square depends on the length of the square.

It can be:

  • carbon steel of ordinary quality or low-alloy steel  for square with a length of from 2 to 12 m;

  • high quality carbon steel or stainless steel for square with sides from 2 to 6 m;

  • high alloy steel for squares from 1.5 to 6 m in length.

Square rolling is used for the manufacture of parts in the auto and agricultural machine — building, machine-tool construction, in industrial and civil building, in household structures.

HOT-ROLLED STEEL HEXAGONAL ROLLING GOST 2879-2006

The standard applies to hot-rolled steel hexagonal inscribed circle diameter from 8 mm to 100 mm inclusive.

On rolling accuracy rolling is divided into:

  • B – increased accuracy;

  • V – usual accuracy.

Hexagon is made of carbon steel, alloy steel, high alloyed hot rolled steels.

Steel hexagons are used for the manufacture of fasteners (bolts, nuts, etc.), widely used in engineering for making various machinery parts and tools.

HOT-ROLLED STEEL STRIP GOST 103-2006

The standard applies to hot-rolled steel strip for general purpose and steel strip for nuts with width from 11 to 200 mm and thickness from 4 to 60mm.

The length of the strips:

  • from 3 to 10 m from commercial quality carbon steel, low alloy and phosphorous;

  • from 2 to 6 meters – from quality carbon steel and alloy steel.

Depending on the purpose of the strips they are made:

  • the measured length;

  • multiple of gauging length;

  • gauge length with the residue no more than 15% of the batch weight;

  • multiple of gauging length with the residue no more than 15% of the batch weight;

  • random length.

Steel strip intended for the manufacture of a metalwork, bent profiles (angle, channel), as well as for the manufacture of springs and cutting tools (cutters, etc.). The steel strip is used in construction —  as an item of the construction works and for decorative external finish of buildings.
